Terms of Service
The terms for using PeerDoor
These terms are the agreement between you and PeerDoor when you use PeerDoor. We’ve written them plainly. Please read them with our Privacy Notice, which explains how we use your data. Effective 27 October 2026.
About PeerDoor
PeerDoor is a marketplace. It connects people preparing for jobs (candidates) with people who work at the companies they’re aiming for (mentors), for intro calls, resume reviews, mock interviews and 1:1 sessions.
- Mentors are independent. They aren’t PeerDoor’s employees, and they don’t speak for their employers. Their advice is their own experience and opinion.
- No guarantees of a job, an interview or a referral. Mentors help you prepare; what happens next is up to you and the companies you apply to.
- We verify that mentors work where they say (through their work email), but we can’t vouch for every word of advice.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- Use your own real name and accurate details, and one account per person.
- Keep your password safe. You’re responsible for what happens on your account; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
Free intro calls
- Intro calls are free and 15 minutes long: a chance to meet a mentor and see if they can help.
- You request a time; the mentor accepts it, declines it, or suggests another. Nothing is charged.
- Please be on time, and cancel if you can’t make it, so the mentor’s time isn’t wasted.
Paid services
- Mentors set their own prices. A mentor may also propose a service to you after an intro call; you can accept and pay, or decline. Nothing is charged until you pay.
- Payment is taken by our payment partner, Razorpay. Prices shown include applicable taxes.
- Your payment is held by PeerDoor until the service is done, and only then paid to the mentor. If it isn’t delivered, you’re refunded (see Refunds).
- PeerDoor’s fee is 20% of the price, taken from the mentor’s share. The price you see is what you pay.
- A paid service must be used within 30 days of paying.
Deadlines and completion
- Resume Review: delivered within 2 days of you sharing your details.
- Resume & LinkedIn Revamp: delivered within 3 days of you sharing your details, with one revision round: ask within 3 days of delivery, and the mentor delivers it within 2 days.
- Mock Interview: the mentor sends a scorecard within 1 day of the call.
- When delivered work counts as accepted: when you accept it, or automatically 3 days after delivery unless you raise an issue first.
- Calls count as done 1 day after they happen, unless an issue is raised.
- Once a service is accepted, payment is released to the mentor.
Calls and missed calls
- Calls happen on PeerDoor’s video calls, in your browser. You and the mentor agree a time; either of you can propose a new one before it.
- Attending means being in the call for at least 3 minutes.
- If the mentor misses it, you can ask for a refund for that call, or pick a new time.
- If you miss it (and the mentor was there), it counts as done, and the mentor is paid for their time.
- If neither of you joins, the call simply needs a new time.
- Recording: a call is recorded, transcribed and summarised by AI only if both of you have turned this on (you can change it in Account & privacy). AI summaries can contain mistakes: treat them as notes, not a record.
- For quality and safety, a member of the PeerDoor team may join a call. They appear as “PeerDoor team”, so you’ll always see them.
Refunds and issues
- Late work: if a mentor misses a delivery deadline by more than 1 day, that part is refunded to you automatically.
- Unused time: if the 30 days end before a part of your service happens, that part is refunded automatically.
- Something wrong? Raise an issue from the service before it’s accepted. The payment stays on hold while we look at it, and we decide fairly between you and the mentor, which can mean a full or partial refund.
- A mentor who misses a call: see Missed calls.
- Changing your mind: once a mentor has started (a call held, work delivered), that part isn’t refundable just because you’ve changed your mind. Ask us about anything not yet started.
- Refunds go back to the way you paid, through Razorpay. How long it takes to show depends on your bank.
If you’re a mentor
- Your profile must be accurate: your real role, company and experience. We verify your work email, and may ask for more.
- Never share your employer’s confidential information, interview questions currently in use, or anything under a non-disclosure agreement.
- Deliver what you offer, on time and to the standard described.
- Earnings: you receive 80% of each service’s price once it’s accepted, paid to your UPI ID weekly. You’re responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.
- You’re an independent professional, not PeerDoor’s employee or agent.
How everyone behaves
Be respectful and honest. You must not:
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against or mislead anyone.
- Take a booking or payment outside PeerDoor, or share contact details to do so. (Chats hide phone numbers and emails for this reason.)
- Record a call yourself without the other person’s agreement, or share someone’s resume, messages or call notes.
- Pretend to be someone else, use another person’s account, or break the law.
- Try to break, overload or misuse PeerDoor.
Your content
- What you write and upload (your resume, messages, a mentor’s delivered work, blog posts) stays yours.
- You let PeerDoor store and show it as needed to run the service: for example, showing your resume to the mentor you book, or publishing a mentor’s approved blog post.
- Ratings and reviews must be honest. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Suspension and closing accounts
- We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or misuses PeerDoor. Where it’s fair, we’ll tell you why.
- You can delete your account any time from Account & privacy. Paid work in progress must be finished or refunded first.
- If an account is closed, work already paid for is either finished or refunded, case by case.
What we’re responsible for
- We work hard to keep PeerDoor running, but it may sometimes be unavailable or have mistakes.
- Mentors’ advice is theirs, not PeerDoor’s. We aren’t responsible for decisions you make based on it, or for any hiring outcome.
- As far as the law allows, our responsibility to you for any service is limited to what you paid for that service.
- Nothing here takes away rights you have by law, including as a consumer.
Changes, law and contact
- If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll tell you and ask you to agree before they apply to you.
- These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of Mumbai, but please talk to us first: most things can be solved quickly.
- Questions or complaints: privacy@peerdoor.in, or Contact us in the app.
